Frequently Asked questions
Will I have rights to my images, so I can make copies? Yes, you have rights to your images. Besides getting the DVD you’ll also be able to download full size images from my website. The only thing you can’t do is sell the images for stock or post them to another photographer’s website. How many images do I get? I do not set a limit on the amount of images I photograph. At a wedding I usually take over 1,200 photographs which leads to around 600-900 final color images. I also do not set limits on portraits. We’ll take as many as you want for the allocated time period. What time works best for portraits? Dawn or dusk is usually the best time to photograph people. This is due to the fact that the winds are usually low and the sunlight is directional and casts a warm glow on people. What happens if it rains? I’ve actually photographed portraits in the rain and it works wonderful! It results in rich saturated colors and the diffused light is incredible. For those who prefer not to stand out in the rain a backup day is usually planned and we can resort to that day. What if it is cloudy? Usually if it’s cloudy I try to photograph downward to include the scene rather then the sky. Clouds act as huge diffusers which can work great for portraits. In fact, most photographers prefer to photograph on an overcast day. Why are your prices so low? I would like people to be able to afford my photography and not go broke when purchasing photographs after the wedding. I hope when I hire a photographer for my wedding, I can find one like me.
