Time is such an interesting concept. As our days transition into an undiscovered future we embrace the present. With the passing of time, people, relationships and families blossom with memories of the past instilled in the mind and etched onto photographs. As the sands of time flow we take heed that babies bloom into children. The love we share and the events we take part of unfold before our eyes and shape all of our lives. As adults we grow in love, marry and create families of our own. The cycle continues through generations forming a bond we call heritage.

As a portrait and wedding photographer I know that what I do will be looked at for generations to come. With this knowledge, all the weddings, portraits and events I photograph are done with true passion and rock solid integrity. These days it’s evident that anybody has the ability to create a photograph. Those of us with higher photographic education and experience have attained the ability to go beyond taking a snapshot that simply turns out. Rather, we add elements of design, concepts of color theory, and know how to work with light to make images that you can’t help but look at and enjoy.

The image makers of of yesterday like Roger Fenton, Matthew Brady, Ansel Adams, and Edward Weston have paved the way for all of us artistic photographers today. Being the only member of the Royal Photographic Society in the state, I acknowledge that I am part of a proud group of individuals who desire to promote the art and science of photography. The Royal Photographic Society has been around for over 150 years and has had a profound impact on photographic history and education around the world.

While some think it’s preposterous for photographers to be able to create personal photographs because they do not know their clients, I ask, why not get to know my clients? If a wedding photographer is not on a personal level with the bride and groom at a wedding,that photographer is only an annoying person with a camera and the wedding pictures tend to look like they are from an outsider's perspective. This is why I take extra time and get to know my clients on a first name basis long before the wedding day. My business practices will never be part of the sterile revolving mug shot session they call standardized photography that most studios are a part of. This is what separates me from my competition and I am proud to be diverse in that aspect.
